Salla, known as Kuolajärvi until 1936, is a municipality of Finland, located in Lapland. The municipality has a population of 3,235

is water. The population density is
0.56 inhabitants per square kilometre (1.5/sq mi).
The nearby settlement of Sallatunturi is home to the Salla Ski Resort.
